Split City Controls Own Destiny with 2 Weeks Left in Season 4 ...

7-3 Split City,,, aka One Bad Inning, is currently in 3rd place with two weeks remaining in Season 4. The only teams remaining on our schedule are #2 8-2 Murphy's Law and #1 9-1 Midlife Crisis ...

Simple enough, win out, take the #1 seed into the Season 4 Tourney... Beyond the teams we play, there are a few challenges to overcome including missing a few players during these two weeks. We are looking to ensure this angle is covered.

Week 5 was interesting as OBI played good defense, was gifted a few extra outs, and hit well enough to roll to a 12-6 win in Game 1.  Game 2 was definitely not the same as verse 1. Runnin' Fools out hit us in fine fashion,,, to the point it almost hurt in the 6-18 run rule loss.

Game 1 was quiet early and the Fools scored once in the top of the 3rd to take a 1-0 lead. However, OBI pushed across 6 and 5 in our next two at bats to take an 11-4 lead after 4 innings. The game went quickly and we played a full 7 innings, a rare occurrence.

Besides a couple of gift wrap oppotunities, Matt had two RBI singles and JuanR a bases emptying Double in the big innings. Just about everyone got involved, there was even time for some comedy as certain individuals need speech therapy and/or a hearing test... Especially with one running attempting to return to First base after rounding second on a single by the following batter,,, "Back, Back Juan" is tooooo darn close to Back to One ... roflmfao ...

Game 2's six runs were scored by the top of the order as Michael, JuanR, JuanC, Jacob and Paul either scored or drove in all the runs,,, sans one RBI by Nuta. Consistently Inconsistent is what makes us Split City...

We will need to be consistent throughout the batting order to take the final four games of Season 4's regular season ... Let's raise a Taco and cheer each other on to Consistency !!!
